    Pros: A Complete Masterpiece

    All I can say is WOW. This album is one of the best of all time. Billy's lyrics are fantastic from start to finish. Mellon Collie is truly a masterpiece. I really can't say enough about this 2-CD work of genius. They have their trademark hard...-rock sound but the slower songs are just as incredible. Never lagging at any point, this album is a must-have for any music fan; especially a Pumpkins one. Read more Less

    Out of all the Smashing Pumpkins records, this is the best record that the band has produced. This is a must have for any Smashing Pumpkins fan. If you were collecting a collection of rock cd's, you're collection wouldn't be complete without this. Al...l the songs here are great. There is a good selection of songs, which makes this album so powerful. In some songs Billy Corgan sings sweet ballads (such as Tonight Tonight, and Thirty-Three). There are also a good amount of heavy songs (Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Zero, and Where The Boys Fear To Tread). This is certainly a creative album, and with 28 songs, this album is hard to get tired of...as a matter of fact, I don't think you could ever get tired of listening to this record. Read more Less

    ...so pretty it makes you wish it would never end. Great track ignored often -"Galapagos". Easily one of the best albums produced of the '90s - or any decade for that matter.

    the best band, when they want to express pain, you can deffently hear it, when they want to pass a messege about the world, they do it talently and successfully. "mellon collie" is the best pumpkins album, "siamse dreams" is amazing to, but "mellon c...ollie" has more style and diffrent kinds of songs, from a quiet piano music like in the album titled track, to noisy heavy music like in "x.y.u.".     For this album is that now I'm a Smashing Pumpkins fan.. this album is the best in my collection, definitely, I'd advice anyone who had the money, to buy it, it's just excellent.. these tracks can get you from complete happyness into complete sadness...... i love this album... it's just great!
