This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. This is one of those rare movies that captivates you with an intriguing storyline, great acting and actors, drama, clever humor, and has no "loose ends". I thought the ending was GREAT. It is a 3 hour movie but it doesn't feel like it. I have seen this movie many times over the years since its release and it is never boring. An absolute must have for the home movie collection.

Good acting, good first half. Brad Pitt being the stone-cold guy he's supposed to be, made me laugh a few times the indifferent way he does that. Too bad Hopkins' goodbye has to take more than one hour of playing time in the end...

It's an excursion into a masterful piece of storytelling. Also, the soundscapes, if you have full surround-sound, bring you into the picture in a way that perhaps only a handful of films ever achieve: it's subtle and majestic, truly stunning!

In this movie Brad Pitt portrays what has to be one of the most unpopular characters of his career...death. This re-make of an earlier film is one of the few I have seen that is "better than the original".

this was the most silly film i have ever watched..well to be truthful there were some scencs where it looked that they worked hard on ( like when bradd bitt was hit by the car and flew in the air)...but the story had no meanning it's really just a WASTE OF TIME! an advice

I personally did not pay much attention to Bradf Pitt's movie, but this movie, Meet Joe Black was an unexpected suprise. I loved every actor/actoress' great acting. It touched me and moved my emotion. I am going to buy the tape for my collection.

I thought it was one of the best films I have ever watched. I have rarely found American films, even those academy award winners, that could impress me. This is one of those rare films. Hopkins showed he is one of the best actors. Pitt did a great job. I was very impressed by Forlani. I thought her job is better than that by many award winners.

I went into this movie not knowing what to expect. Unlucky for me this movie was dragged out and quite predictable. There were a few scenes that made me chuckle, but above all I finished the movie with a sense of disgust that I had sat through the entire thing. That is a few hours of my life I can NEVER get back. BE WISE steer clear. The whole problem was the plot...I happen to enjoy all three of the main actors.

You know, for my birthday my sister had gotten this for me, and I was a bit skeptical. I mean, come on --- why would a guy like me want to watch a Brad Pitt movie?? So, it actually took me about a week to slip the first tape into my VCR and begin to watch it. GEEZ-US!! That scene where Brad Pitt's character is hit by the car!! I was totally shocked! I had to rewind it and watch it over like five times! Overall, I really did love this movie. However, the only thing that actually kept me from watching it was how long it was. If it was only a little bit shorter . . . but, still marvelous.
