SALAM ALAIKUM..THIS ALBUM IS A MUST FOR ALL HIP HOP HEADS THAT WANNA ESCAPE REALITY AND REVIEW THE ANCIENT TIMES. FROM TRACK 1 DOWN THE LAST IS NEVA A DULL MOMENT. PETE ROCK IS THA MAN ON THE 1&2, AND THE MAN CREATING THOSE ILL TRACKS. SO PICK IT UP AND BE TRANSPORTED TO THE ESSENCE OF HIP HOP..MAY ALLAH BLESS..1

In my opinion one of the best hip-hop albums ever. C.L. Smooth has a sweet and clear flow and delivery, and Pete Rock has sampled and created some creative and infectious jazz grooves and beats to back C.L. There is a lot of soul on this album, but there is also much attention paid to detail, a quality devoid in many of today's hip hop recordings. There are many great songs on this album, but "T.R.O.Y." is a hip-hop masterpiece, one of the greatest songs of all time.
