Mecca Normal
Leaning toward indie rock's avant-garde, guitarist David Lester and vocalist Jean Smith comprise Mecca Normal. The duo have recorded several albums for K Records (Mecca Normal, Dovetail, Jarred Up, Flood Plan) and one for Matador (Sitting on Snaps). In 2002 the duo made their debut with Kill Rock Stars, releasing The Family Swan, their first album in nearly five years.
