    Pros: i thought that linsey was very good in this movie

    Cons: i liked it and there is really nothing bad to say about this film.

    I like this movie b/c it is about girls who have to deal with each other and it is pretty close to what goes on in high school today. I give this movie two tumbs up.

    Surprisingly good... and its based on a book?

    Pros: Very well done on several levels. Special Features reveal the depth of the undertones.

    Cons: Some 'teen movie' moments (courteousy of the adults, no less) but very few.

    I overheard the cashier at the video store talking about Mean Girls, and I asked her what she thought of it. "It's the BEST MOVIE EVER!" she replied, so I checked it out. I'm glad I did. This movie is very well developed. Lindsey... Lohan and the rest of the teens elegantly play out the backstabbing world of teen popularity. In this world, friends lie to friends, the phone is a weapon, and rumors can bump people from the royal table to the furthest edges of self-respect. Several Saturday Night Live veterans offer self-effacing authority without stealing the stage from the true stars-- the girls. After you watch the movie, and check out the Special Features, you realize the movie is based on a NONFICTION book, "Queen Bee and the Wannabees." Now, this book was born out of Violence Workshops for Women and Teens, showing how social pressures in high school can lead to difficult situations. However, if "Queen Bee" has a violence message, for better or for worse, that theme did not carry over to Mean Girls. Overall, it's a very enjoyable comedy that can be watched several times.     Pros: Funny

    Cons: Imaginary

    Well... when you really think about it, there aren't that many girls who act like these 3, and not many high schools are actually like that. But it's a movie. I like Cady's transformation throughout the movie. As it goes on, her attitude ...and outfits change as her character gets meaner and more popular. Regina has a transformation too which is well portrayed. She starts to hide in her clothes once she eats more because she's getting fatter. But it was one of the coolest movies I've seen.     Lohan's Attempt at Good Girl Gone Bad

    Pros: Tina Fey is hilarious

    Cons: Lohan cannot grip a bad girl persona

    The story had a classic base: good girl comes to school, meets bad girls, meets hot boy, everything goes to hell with the people she really knows, realizes stupidity, solves dilemma, still gets with guy. However unoriginal the story line was, it stil...l managed to gain its own individuality and spark. I saw Lohan's desperate attempt not to be seen as the good girl persona her disney start got her, but she seems to try too hard, which makes her role sort of stiff. Luckily, the entire rest of the cast played their roles with superb acting. Tina Fey along with her bad girl crew hilariously gripped the idea of the mean, popular girls of high school. Their performance had me rolling on the floor. Although the main character's part was lacking, the movie was overall a good platform for her to launch. The movie's success will help her in the future, despite her lack of spirit. Read more Less

    Pros: It was funny and it taught a great lesson.

    Cons: It was almost too cliched

    This movie teaches a great lesson about life. Lohan did an amazing job of acting out her role. It teaches us that you should be able to trust your peers and that people shouldn't turn their backs on each other because in the long run everyones go...ing to end up being hurt.
