    Pros: easy to down load

    Cons: never lived up to the promises

    I first installed McAfee on my COMPAQ PC and had a shut down. Having removed McAfee my problems were gone. Thinking my problem was due to my 'older computer' I again installed McAfee on my new Dell 3000 PC this past week with the same results.... (my Dell came with a McAfee recomendation) I could no longer access my netzero internet account followed by another total lock up. I could not even close windows and turn off my PC. My two sisters told me they had the same problems. I'm finished with McAfee. Read more Less

    Pros: Interactive and highly functional

    Cons: Conflicts with other security programs

    Once I figured out that I needed to shut off Microsoft IE security measures and some from my ISP, it worked flawlessly. If McAfee stated that I should have done that up front, I didn't see it ... I could have saved myself a lot of time. I liked t...his package well enough that I bought another one for my wife's computer. I also learned that you need to shop McAfee for their best deal. They have several packages, and some of them ... well, suck. Read more Less
