Maytag Neptune-JUNK
Pros: It hasn't worked long enough to figure this out!
Cons: I have taken the pump apart every 4 weeks since I have owned it!!
My husband and I made the big plunge and bought, what we thought would make our lives easier-a brand new Heavy Duty Washing Machine. What better name than Maytag-that is such a joke!! We have had repairmen here almost every 3 months to take change or buttons or other small miscellaneous items out of the pump-that was until I figured out how to take it apart myself (those repairmen usually have quite a waiting list and unfortunately my laundry doesn't stop piling up!). I have had it!!!! I have not read more than two or three good reviews regarding this model, something needs to be done! Maytag is ripping us off! I will never buy another Maytag Product again!!

I bought my neptun washer 3 years ago.
Every 4-6 weeks the pump goes out.
The whole of the pump is so small nothing drains .
Can not exidently leave a cent in your pockets or a button of a shirt is already enough for the pump go out.
of course maytag does not want to hear about it.
Never a Maytag again.

I bought the Maytag Neptune front-loading washing machine (MAH8700AWW) along with a compatibly matching dryer (MDE9700AYW). I also obtained pedestal units for them. My housemate and I absolutely love them. The washing machine saves electricity and water. The capacity of the washer and dryer is splendid, so we can wash and dry large articles (like comforters) that our previous machines couldn't handle, and we do fewer loads per week now. We are fascinated to watch the operation of the appliances through the doors; we can see how our clothes are being tossed around gently, compared to the harsh action of the agitator in a conventional washing machine. The machines are not noisy and vibration is minimal. Atop the pedestals, the machines are comfortably accessible for loading and unloading. I will be very happy if they are the last washer and dryer that I ever buy.
