worst dishwasher ever

nothing great about this unit except that it fails every couple of months..the control panel has conked out 2 times at least motor has failed once.im glad i have the extended warranty so atleasti do nothave to pay for it v faulty unit pl dod not buy

Pros: Quiet, ease of use, rack variations
Cons: Leaves some water on dishes in Light Wash
Great dishwasher! Very quiet, which is a must in our open design home. Easy to use, has great options, and we LOVE all the switchable variations in the rack system, especially the top rack's ability to raise and lower, giving extra space on top or on bottom for larger items. Rack system is very well thought out with lots of flexible placement customization. We've had this unit for over 2 years with no problems whatsoever. Previous reviewer may have gotten a unit that had something jostled during shipment which would be a fluke. That happened to us on another appliance. It came highly recommended at Sears and we've not been disappointed. My only complaint is that it leaves the dishes about 30% still wet when in Light Wash, Heated Dry, High Temp Wash mode, which it shouldn't do. But if you leave the door partly open dishes tend to dry out pretty well on their own. Other modes work great.

Cons: Very unreliable and has need repaired 3 times in less than 2 years!
I absolutely would not recommend this dishwasher. The control panel which is where you select the cycle and options has quit on my three times and has been replaced twice so far. Everytime I have had this fixed it keeps quitting. Contacted Maytag for the 3rd time and they say that this is no longer covered because we have had the dishwasher for 20 months and the and the warranty is no loger valid. I am going to just buy a new dishwasher rather than repairing this for the 3rd time becuase the parts are over $150 alone.
