Mark McGee is a Bay area guitarist who started making a name for himself in the late '70s. As a teenager, he was opening for bands like Metallica, Quiet Riot, and Ratt while performing with his band Overdrive. His first band as a leader was the shortlived, Now, before joining a reformed version of Starcastle at age 19.

In 1986, McGee joined the San Francisco heavy metal band Vicious Rumors. After nine years, multiple albums (with videos airing on MTV), and several world tours, McGee left...
