    Pros: two player co-op mode !

    Cons: can't jump

    It's here at last; The Game Cube version of Mario Kart. It better be good if they took all this time. GOOD NEWS! This is the best Mario Kart ever -- and that's saying alot! It has great challenges and the co-op mode is unprecedented; two pe...ople control the same kart!! One person shoots and one person drives. No other game has anything like it. You can play with up to eight players between four karts (requires a hub and 2 cubes) and if one player's skill level isn't as high as another, just make em' the shooter on a co-op kart. The shooter position can be as involved as you want it to be. You can just throw stuff, or you can execute what they call a drift or slide attack and take other players' items or dodge obstacles at the last minute (among other things).The battle modes have also been touched up as well. They now have three different battle modes to choose from. A capture-the-flag type, one where you get all bombs, and the usual 3 balloons mode. At first we were a little disappointed to see such small battle arenas, but when we played more and began to unlock some levels, we were extremely pleased (i.e. multi-tiered luigi's mansion level).This game has more unlockables, shortcuts, and secrets then the others. The only downside we could see is that you can't jump (95% sure you can't anyway) because in the 64's version I like to do that going around corners, but you won't notice once you get going.A pleasure to shell out the dough to play this title.     Pros: Good for all ages, LAN support, New characters

    Cons: Some of the music is lame

    If you are looking for a racing game, like the "Mario" franchise, own a Nintendo GameCube, and have a lot of friends to play with, then this game is for you. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is a great game for all ages. It is by far the best Mari...o Kart game in Nintendo's long running racing franchise. A feature that is new in the game is that you have two characters on a kart at the same time instead of one. You can choose which characters that you want and what karts that you want. Each character has their own special weapon when it comes to combating eachother. For example: Mario now can throw fire, and Donkey and Diddy Kong can throw a giant banana. The new characters are: Daisy, Birdo, Baby Mario & Luigi, Toadette, Paratroopa, Baby Bowser, Waluigi, Petey Piranha, and King Boo. The game also has LAN support. Up to eight (8) TV's can be connected together with eight people playing the same game. You will need Nintendo GameCube broadband adapters (sold separately), an over-the-counter hub, and LAN cables to do this. On a scale of 1 being worst and 10 being best, I give Mario Kart: Double Dash!! a 9.5; every Nintendo GameCube owner should own a copy of this game. Read more Less

    Pros: Easy to learn, and great control.

    Cons: Music could be better, and not as good as Mario Kart 64.

    Using a 2 player/npc driving mechanic, one drives the kart, while the other uses the pickups found along the track. It's a great game, but liked Mario Kart better on the N64. Rainbow Road, and Wario Stadium would have been excellent tracks to h...ave in this version, but still it's a great game to play. Read more Less

    If the players won either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in total to unlock unlockables, it would have been better, but noooooo!!!!!!!!! I hate not winning 1st place in total to unlock unlockables

    This game is about a different style of go-karts. It has many of the Nintendo Characters that we grew with, like for example: Mario,Luigi,Bowser,Peach,
    etc. If your are a mother that wants to buy a really nice game for your children, then this is the ...perfect game. If you are a video game fan who loves mario, this is the perfect way to enjoy a saturday night with your friends. it also counts with a LAN version,this means that you can connect with another T.V and another Nintendo Gamecube with the Mario Kart: Double Dash!! game to play up to 8 players(but to play this version you will need the Nintendo Gamecube Broadband). The music is really nice and the style of pilot and co-pilot is a better way to play a racing game. Indeed, this is the perfect christmas present for everyone. Read more Less
