Peruvian band Mar de Copas was formed in the early '90s by ex-Los Inocentes singer/guitarist Manolo Barrios and drummer Toto Leverone. After recording their first demo in 1991, the pop/rock band signed up to independent label El Virrey, issuing a self-titled album in 1993 and Entre Los Arboles a year later. The group self-produced Mar de Copas III, released on September 20, 1997. Suna followed in 1999.
