Man of the Year used to be Lolly, a name that is well-known to Northwest pop rockers; Lolly was voted one of the Northwest's best bands of 1999. The band released their first album under their new name in 2000, entitled The Future Is Not Now. Tony Lash of the Dandy Warhols produced the band's debut album, which has generated two local Portland area hits, "Silver Dollar" and "Hovercraft."
