Mal Ryder had a lengthy career as a journeyman rock singer in Britain in the 1960s without ever approaching stardom, at least in his native land. He is best known as the lead singer on many of the recordings by the Primitives, a raw British RB/rock/mod/soul band that made numerous rare recordings in the mid- to late '60s.
