EA Sports' blockbuster football series makes its second appearance on Xbox 360 with Madden NFL 07. In addition to the expected tweaks to the graphics engine and sound, Madden NFL 07's primary area of focus is improving the running game. For the first time in the series, players can take control of the lead blocker and create holes in the defensive line for the tailback to run through. The right analog stick, dubbed the "highlight stick" for this installment, offers new jukes, cutbacks, and signaturestyle moves for the game's top rushing stars, including cover athlete and MVP Shaun Alexander.

The franchise mode returns with an option to earn "Madden Gamer Points" based on a user's career achievements, which in turn can be wagered with friends or the computer AI to unlock rewards. Franchise owners will also be able to unlock abilityenhancing roles for stars with standout team performances, while defensive minded players can sift through teamspecific playbooks instead of calling basic schemes. Both created and injured athletes are eligible to compete in new trainingoriented minigames to improve stats and recovery times, a feature exclusive to Xbox 360.     Pros: amazing graphics(to be expected), new modes along with mini games

    Cons: can be difficult to control player at some times and no fantasy draft in franchise mode

    Overall it was exactly what i was looking for, the madden series had a terrible year last year as far as the xbox360 games go. The visuals were fine and that was about it, the game was just boring with only the play now and franchise mode,EA failed t...o deliver. This is not the case with the 07 installment, the new features are all fun, and the individual camera view for every position in superstar mode gave u a feeling of really playing as the character. This will be a great game to play alone or with a group of friends. Read more Less

    Pros: Better looking

    Cons: Same game new year

    Its just a beefed up version of every other madden. Personally EA could take a lesson from ESPN 2K5. There needs to be more NFL games not just one.
