  • Overall:

The greatest visionary movie ever been

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 4, 2003

Beyond Thunderdome is easily the best out of the three Mad Max movies, and not only: its a visionary, poetic, epic action movie who firmly owns its roots in the universal culture. Its a long journey which truly mixes up the most important elements: a...ction, landscapes, characters, atmosphere, dystopy, utopy, feelings, violence, humour, heart, mind and guts. Basically, Thunderdome is an emotional sci-fi movie starring the coolest anti-hero ever portrayed on the screen (Mad Max), together with a bunch of unforgettable characters: Aunty Entity (a wonderful Tina Turner); Savannah Nix; Master (Angelo Rossitto) and a tribe of unbelievable, fascinating feral kids. Its all about the characters and the worlds theyve built up for yourself, in need to give their lives a sense. And its not only about words, but cinematic action! The most spectacular one, actually. This is by far the most complex, iconic and classic post-apocalyptic movie to date. Everything is perfect, from the flawless direction to the incredible actor playing, from the marvellous and weird high-powered vehicles to the classic Thunderdome arena fight sequence.Awesome and frightening in its own way. Do a favour to yourself, buy this movie. Read more Less
