    this is what music should be.today it it's hard to find a soundtrack to go along with the movie that it's from,but the mack does that.willie hutch is not a name that really goes hand-in-hand with '70's music,but this soundtrack is tight as hell! as ...we say in 2000,"it's hot to death!)hutch wrote,produced,&sings on every track on the album.today that's very hard to find.the lyrics are deep("now that it's all over"is truly deep.)and the production is truly tight.my favorites are now that it's all over,brothers gonna work it out(a song sampled by dr.dre on the cronic cd),and i choose you.so if you like that old '70's soul sound.that old pimp sound this is the cd for you.also the movie get's 5 stars too,hell i watched it last night.now it's time for me to buy another copy of this cd SINCE MY DAUGHTER LOST THE LAST ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!peace&one love.odyssey1973 Read more Less

    When an act called Sisters Love were offered a cameo in the blaxploitation film The Mack, their manager suggested that Willie Hutch do the soundtrack. It came to be one of the great '70s film scores, including a pair of classic funk tunes, "Brothers Gonna Work It Out" and the title cut. The results proved to be another soundtrack that far surpassed the quality of its film.
