M.I.A. was a hardcore punk band from Las Vegas led by vocalist Mike Conley. Discouraged by the lack of support in their tourist-oriented hometown, the group quickly broke up and was featured on one side of a posthumous compilation with the New Jersey band Genocide in 1981, called Last Rites. The compilation sold well, particularly after one of M.I.A.'s tracks was featured on the hardcore compilation American Youth Report, and the group reunited and moved to the more receptive area of Southern...
