Unlike the previous Lowrider Oldies collections, Vol. 5 concentrates on doo wop songs, featuring cuts by Jive 5 ("My True Story"), the Chantels ("Look in My Eyes"), the Capris ("There's a Moon Out Tonight"), the Chantels ("Maybe"), Shep the Limelites ("Daddy's Home"), the Fiestas ("So Fine") and the Impressions ("I'm So Proud"). It's not a great doo wop collection, but it is a solid one, containing many familiar items in one place.
