Thump's Lowrider Oldies series contains soul and RB hits from the '60s and '70s. The smooth soul doesn't always sit well with the post-Motown pop-soul and girl groups of the '60s, but the 12-track collections remain entertaining. Among the highlights on Vol. 1 are Barbara Lynn's "You'll Lose a Good Thing," Aaron Neville's "Tell It Like It Is," the Persuaders' "Thin Line Between Love and Hate," the Delfonics' "La La Means I Love You," the Originals' "Baby I'm for Real," Barbara Lewis' "Hello Stranger" and Shirelles' "Dedicated to the One I Love."
