Guitarist/songwriter Lowman Pauling was a member of '50s RB/rock vocal group the "5" Royales and cowrote "Dedicated to the One I Love," covered by the group on a 1958 King Records single. The song was a 1961 hit for the Shirelles and a 1967 hit for the Mamas and the Papas.
