    Loverboy's debut was really something. Opening with the two smashes, 'The Kid is Hot Tonite' and 'Turn Me Loose.' The latter being their trademark song.What made Loverboy successful in the early 80's was the AOR sound. Very radio friendly and an inst...antly recognizable voice in Mike Reno. You knew it was Loverboy immediately when he started singing. But all the musicians in Loverboy were also good. Maybe not as tecniquely as adept as their counterparts(no pun intended) in Rush, still they held their own quite well.Other notable tracks are 'Always on My Mind', 'Lady of the 80's' and 'Teenage Overdose.' Also, the last track, 'It Don't Matter' shows where Loverboy were going on Get Lucky. There are some banel tracks on the album(the notable 'Prissy Prissy' comes to mind). But overall this is a great debut that shot Loverboy from being an unknown Canadian band into a very well known band throughout North America very soon! A classic. Read more Less

    With two comps already out, it's hard to be a new or curious fan and get the feel like the 80's crowd did. But those who know the style and power of this band need this album.

    With soulful tracks,electric vocals.and kick ass rock songs probably their second best album.this is a good oneto take on the road.
