Perfection
It is undeniable. Trane is alone in the stratosphere called Jazz.

Listen, I am 18 and I love hip-hop music. Listening to hip-hop was how I discovered John Coltrane and his beautiful music. The artist by the name Mos Def mentioned the name John Coltrane on his album and so being curious as to why he would mention him, I went to a music store and bought a John Coltrane album, "Coltrane For Lovers". This was mostly b/c I wanted to hear what he was about but also b/c I needed some decent music for a date I had that weekend. I got home popped it in the player and realized that this was the best thing that I had ever heard. I never even listened to Jazz but I knew now that this was the musical genre for me. Now I listen to them all but this album has brought back a masterpiece that is just so damn beautiful

OK i haven't heard this recompiled rehashed version of the original. I own about 75 Coltrane CDs and 90% of them range from terrific to mindblowing. Coltrane is undoubtedly my favorite musician. His expressions of music are so rich, complex, interesting, and warm. I am sure this CD set will be worthwhile to anyone not owning the original material.
