    Keeps me Alive

    "Love" and "she sells sactuary" opened a whole new can of worms (musically). "Hollow Man" and "black Angel" hinted at the future goth movement. The record is mega influential, and Ian will boldly tell you that he thinks the Cult was the first goth b...and. I disagree with Ian, but I don't disagree with any aspect of this record.     One of the most important 80's albums

    It may not be the best Cult album outright, but this incredible mixture of dark psychedelia, gothic musing and loud, rampant 70's riffs is almost timeless. The big Cult hits, "She Sells Sanctuary", "Rain", and "Revolution" all shine in their beautifu...l way, and "Phoenix" and "Love" just prove how American the Cult were going to become.     A truly must-have CD!

    In my opinion, this is one of the great rock albums of the modern era. Based on solid guitar, superb vocals and just plain old kick-ass Rock n' Roll, this is one of the few albums that would be truly worthy of having on a desert isle (well, if the i...sle had electricity and a CD player).     Truly a Trio that thrashes like RUSH!

    Haven't listened to "Love" since high school and was it a pleasant reminiscence. The songs "The Phoenix, The Hollow Man and Revolution" are truly favorites. Ian Astbury also makes you want to listen to "She Sells Sanctuary" over and over again! Good... to listen to real music again! Read more Less

    what no review for this cd? am i the only cult fan in this world? anyway, this album is a perfect ten from beginning to end! in fact im listening to it right now! ever since i first heard sanctuary i've been a fan,hard to chose a favorite though,the... most radio friendly songs would be rain,sanctuary...the weirdest songs are black angel,brother wolf... and my favorites at the moment are-revolution,love & nirvana,i'm sorry but i really dont know where to begin and end with this review,ian astbury is my favorite singer of all-time, an absolute genious!
