soundgarden started to loose their touch as they got older (in my opinion) so it was wize to split while they were ahead but this album is by far the best of them all.

this is a great album even though the production is bad it still sounds great stand out songs: Loud Love, Big dumb sex, Full on Kevin's mom, Powertrip, gun, get on the snake, and Hands all over.

This isn't a bad album though - its basically very heavy rock underpinned by loud, crunching, sludgy riffs and Chris Cornell's unique voice. There is a tendency for the album to slip into a rather tuneless dirge, but there are plenty of really great songs that grab you after a few listens, namely HANDS ALL OVER, POWER TRIP, GET ON THE SNAKE and FULL ON... How shall we put this? People have a hard time trying to figure out what the hell SoundGarden to do in this album. Well, see, it supposed to be a funny album and people aren't suppose to take this album seriously, in other words it's suppose to be fun. Songs like 'full on kev's mom', 'big dumb sex','ugly truth' are suppose to be fun songs to play with and sing to. To some, it might not go down very well since the whole album is a little slower than the rest. Still you got the other songs which is classic SoundGarden like 'loudlove', 'get on the snake' and 'hands all over'. Don't take this album too seriously, have fun and take it for a spin.

I give this album a marginal 3/5 stars. This album isto typical and there is just too much of the same thing played over and over. I do however loved Full on Kevins Mom reprised, but for the other songs, If you heard one you heard them all.

Some of these songs are fairly spectacular, but all in all, they don't match up that well with the rest of the band's later, greater work.

This album requires a few listenings but it's rewarding. This is when I feel that Soungarden truly found their footing. "Hands all Over", "Loud Love", "Big Dumb Sex", "Gun" and "Full On Kevin's Mom" strengthen the album.
