Loud Lucy reaped the benefits of the major labels' discovery of Chicago's alternative rock scene, stemming from acts like Liz Phair, Urge Overkill, and Veruca Salt. Led by singer/guitarist Christian Lane, Loud Lucy had only one independent release, a 7" single, before signing with DGC. Lane, whose bandmates include bassist Tommy Furar and drummer Mark Doyle, had dreamed of emulating his idols, the Replacements, and building a following through nonstop touring, but was more than happy to take...
