    Pros: Johnny Depp

    Cons: everything else

    I watched this film and tried my best to find something entertaining about it cause I am a big Depp fan, but this film just plain sucked cause there was no movie to watch...And since I rented the DVD format, I could only see Depp on the bonus DVD tha...t came along with the set...It was the worst thing I ever saw...I compare it to Michael Jacksons Thriller...We all saw Thriller first and then saw the making of Thriller...Had we seen it the other way around, it wouldnt be as good...Same thing with Lost in La Mancha...its like watching the making of a movie with all the crap they hadnt cut out yet...Just terrible...     Pros: Many; **Nice interview with Johnny Depp in the extras.

    Cons: Wish Gilliam could make the actual movie

    I bought this dvd without having seen it because I am a huge fan of Johnny Depp, Terry Gilliam AND the story of Don Quixote (which unfortunately seems to be an eternally cursed concept for a movie, going all the way back to Orson Welles). It turned ...out to be a very well-made documentary about a series of heartbreaking disasters that eventually led to the end of what could have been an amazing movie. We can only hope that Gilliam manages to get the rights back so he can finish what he started. This is a must-see for aspiring directors. Read more Less
