Pros: i give it all i can
Cons: nothing
Kicks ass amazing no joke you wont understand it what so ever if ya watch it once or even twise after the third time tho it will come into focus it's sick how good this movie is.
I like some weird movies, but this was weird to the point were it did not make any sense. Some people might have a different opinion and I am not putting anyone down for that, but I have a hard time being entertained by movies that don't make sense.
This is a great movie for those that are into dark, strange films. It is a psychological thriller, with a hint of goodfellas. For fans of David Lynch it is a must see ('Blue Velvet', 'Twin Peaks'). Mystery, suspense, and twisted romance are the themes of this film. The tail-gating scene alone makes it worthwhile for those who hate nutcase drivers on the freeway!
Lost Highway is entertaining, but nothing makes sense at all, ever, through the entire flick. Great soundtrack, Pullman is excellent, and Lynch has lost his mind completely somewhere out on that dark highway. Three stars, but not Lynch's best work.
This movie works on so many levels b/c it's
impossible to know director's intention. It can only take on
personal meanings. But it's a gem of film-making (actors,
plot, visuals, story, humor, etc.)
Deals w/
ideas of time as linear (the party scene is the most
horrific in all movies); the powers of mind to go beyond;
sexual deviancy; and much more (been awhile since I've
seen it.)
But like I said, you'll probably see
something totally different. But one thing is for sure
-> it's traditional Lynch in that it's
... 20 stars if possible. one of the best movies ever. A true masterpiece.
There are so many ways to interpret this great movie. I seem to think that this movie is about the force of evil in each person can do so many bad things.... What do you think?
A stunning horror film about random forces, and how easily they can change the outcome of your existence, as well as crossing your fate with someone else's...Ever have a dream where you swear you were the central character, but you never see yourself...how do you know if it's you? Such is the thrust of David Lynch's "Lost Highway".
This is a journey into the mind of a madman. The second half tends to bewilder many viewers. The thing to remember is that part II of the movie is a representation of how the main character sees himself, his wife, and the world. Watch the movie more than once, break its code, and enjoy the terror (and subtle humor) of this character study.
If you enjoy David Lynch films then you will definately like this one. Or even if you aren't familiar with Lynch's work , but enjoy a good journey into the bizarre, this film is for you. An excellent soundtrack features the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and David Bowie, among others. Don't expect to understand this film, or even know what is going. Just sit back and enjoy master David Lynch's latest portrait of sex and pshychosis.
