Based in Memphis, Tennessee, rap duo Lord T Eloise are pioneers of "aristocrunk," a style that incorporates hiphop, party rap and crunk to alternately celebrate and satirize the lives and lifestyles of the superwealthy, particularly those born into old money families. Lord Treadwell (Lord T) and Maurice Eloise XIII (Eloise) count Snoop Dogg, the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Busta Rhymes among their musical influences, but the two have a style all their own. Lord T Eloise's act is highly visual and borders on performance art, with the former dressing as an 18th century lord (complete with powdered wig) and the latter sporting suits and 24 carat gold skin. They released their first album, Aristocrunk, in 2007.
