Pros: Nice update from the last version

Cons: none that I can find. Maybe Expensive. Normally $90-120ish but got mine at $60!!

I own both MX mice and noticed great improvements. First off the new mouse glides much better on my wood surface and is much more responsive (no lag) and has a better "less fat" feel to it not to mention a nice asteticly pleasing look. But lastly I love this neat feature that allows two modes of scrolling; regular scroll, and glide scroll. You would know what I was talking about with the scroll if you used it. So far this is the best wireless and laser mouse out yet. ...

Pros: Logitech build quality has gotten better

    Cons: small

ive owned this mouse for about a month and determined its time to write a review.
the are three main reasons i bought this mouse.
I was so tired of corded mice. The cord is always just 6" shorter then what you need... the best way to deal with it, is to dump the cord altogeter.
Prce. Price played a huge part in this purchase. I found it at a big box store for around $35.. thats cheap ir mice prices.
    Adjustability/functions.
Ive never owned more then a 4 button mouse. left right, scroll wheel and scroll wheel button. I figured that i would try something more related to media/gaming mice.
The official logitech software limits what this mouse is truly capable of. There is custom firmware out there for this mouse that allows full customization of keys. FOr example, everyone with windows media player 11 knows how bad it sucks every single time the player opens in the 'library' instead of the 'now playing' menu like it should. The only way to fix this, is by editing a shortcut so it will open in 'np'. The official firmware didnt give us the ability to set the mouse to open shortcuts instead of exe programs, but custom firmware allows you to do this.
The scroll wheel is a bit on the skinny side. This is not a 'gaming' mouse for this fact. However, there are some nice features to the scroll wheel. You have two different settings that allows for index shifting, or frictionless. THe index shifting is just like all the other mice out there, a click everytime you scroll up or down, the frictionless drive removes the 'click'.
The range of this mouse is also fantastic. It wont do many people any good, but it will work through at least 1 interior wall.
The battery life is also excellent. Im on a computer for about 5-7 hours a day and it is in constant use, but i still have 73 days left (total of 29 days use so far).
The fact that it is a laser mouse means that you can use it on numerous surfaces without many problems.
The only issue that i hate about the mouse is the size. Its a notebook mouse meaning its small and compact, and after a few hours of use, your hands become cramped... but then again, ive never use a mouse that was large enough for my hands.
I give this mouse 4 stars, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a compact laptop mouse with a nice build quality.
