I think it will help a lot with my wrist problems since you don't move your hand or shoulder.
I wish this one had the buttons like the new cordless one. I realized after getting this one that you don't need a cordless trackball because you don't move them. You move the trackball. Now if it just had the additional features that the cordless one has I'd be set. ...

Pros: Inexpensive - accurate - easy to install
Cons: Laptops can't detect it easilly
I purchased this for my laptop. First, it took three tries until I finally picked one with a good ball (had to return the first two because the ball was defective.) After installing the trackball, my laptop could not detect it after powering down or going into standby mode. I purchased this model because it is a USB trackball, and my laptop has USB ports (NO PS/2 style ports.)
Logitech admits that this is a problem with their drivers on laptops that run Win XP. The solution? Don't use USB - plug it into a PS/2 port with the included adaptor.
Well, since my laptop has no PS/2 port (nor do many of the newer laptops), this is no solution. All I can do is unplug the thing and plug it back in everytime I want to use the laptop! ...
