    This mild comedy is one of the better crafted films I've seen. By mild, I mean it doesn't resort of slapstick or toilet-humor for major yuks like so many American films. The humor is much more subtle and situational. This is one of those rare movies... about life in another country that makes you actually feel like you were really there. Excellent acting by Peter Riegert and all (Burt Lancaster actually plays in a supporting-type role, though his character is critical to the plotline). Excellent screenwriting, beautiful settings, a wonderful soundtrack by Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) makes this worth watching over and over. One of the all-time best movies! Read more Less
