    Any time you have a live recording of Steveie Ray you are in for a treat. While I find this recording not to be as good as Live at Carnegie Hall, it is excellent. You'll enjoy Stevie's always electrifying covers of Hendrix & Buddy Guy, as well as a p...retty cool version of Superstition by Stevie Wonder, along with some of his own classics. This is Texas style Blues guitar at it's best!Enjoy! Read more Less

    Stevie you are a genius.if i could play guitar as good as you it would be my dream. as for this album which contains some of the best live cuts of the past. it consist of material of previous albums but live.& with a storming energy of sound that i ...could'nt believe its got tobe the best live album i've ever heard& one the best of the eighties.     Live Alive is a magnificent double-length showcase for Stevie Ray Vaughan's guitar playing, featuring a number of extended jams on a selection of most of the best material from Vaughan's first three albums, plus covers of "Willie the Wimp," "I'm Leaving You (Commit a Crime)," and Stevie Wonder's "Superstition." The album may not be exceptionally tight or concise, but then again, that's not the point. The renditions here sound less polished than the studio versions, with Vaughan's guitar tone bitingly down and dirty and his playing spontaneous and passionate.
