    Still a relevant album

    Pros: classic Tori; great lyrics

    This album ranks as one of Tori's classics. The incredibly personal, yet universal, yet wonderfully poetic nature of her lyrics is epitomized by such classics as "Silent All These Years", "Winter" and "Crucify."

    If you like Tori Amos, this is a must have. This is the best album she has made. The lyrics are raw and emotional, and the piano is excellent.

    Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes (1992)Track # Title Rating (/100) Comments 1 Crucify 79 A strong first single and opening song. 2 Girl 75 especially love the middle section with the vocal overdubs 3 Silent All These Years 85 So coooool. A singer/songw...riter classic of course! 4 Precious Things 87 Great song, great production. 5 Winter 96 My second-favourite song of all time, by anyone....hence the high rating :-) 6 Happy Phantom 75 makes me smile 7 China 69 she is a mermaid on the rocks in the video! 8 Leather 84 look i'm standing naked before you... :-)) 9 Mother 83 a fabulous track...amazing performance 10 Tear In Your Hand 50 hmmm every song on this album is amazing...except this one.. i could name 900 songs better than this one, it's very average pop. 11 Me and a Gun 71 wow the courage to write and sing this song is amazing 12 Little Earthquakes 74 guitars sound great and the vocals are great too and great lyrics "we danced in graveyards like vampires til dawn / and i hate elevator music" LOL I Love it.     This was, and I think is for most people, the first Tori album I fell in love with. If it had not been for her video "Silent All These Years", back when Mtv actually played videos, I probably would've never had the pleasure of knowing her music.Best ...tracks: Silent All These Years, Leather, Happy Phantomand Precious Things.
