Good Stuff
Pros: Great performance, range, and compatability.
Cons: Support for any issues is entirely absent.
The router itself is great.
But the support for it kinda sucked.

Pros: It was easy to install until I got to the plug in part
Cons: Installation could not be completed
Each step of the setup process was successfully completed until, I got to the router installation. That is when I got the error message.

Cons: trouble setting up and WILL NOT stay connected
Had some trouble setting up. Spent hours on end with a Linksys tech. After setting up, for a year now it continues to disconnect every day. Log in to the net, and after about 2 hours of use, you have to unplug power to the router for it to reset. This continues about ever 2-3 hours. Worst peice of garbage ever bought!

First unit BROKE and now I've been given the same model by a friend. Tried to hook up by myself and that didn't work,CALLED CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND THEY WANTED TO PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY IN ORDER TO HELP ME CONNECT IT TO THE COMPUTER,NEVER WILL BUY ANOTHER CISCO/LINKSYS PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

I never could setup the producet, the support was in india and i talked to at least 10 people over a 3 day period. One guy finally told me that he didn't know what the problem was and that i should contact my internet provider. I will never buy another linksys product again. Total waste of time and the support was a total joke.

I must say I have been working with
computers before windows was a name.
This is the worst product and most
miserable piece of crap I have ever
seen. You cannot back out of anything
you do without incredible hassle. There is virtually no way to put it back to
factory out of the box. Also The
entire setup procedure is the absolute
worst that I have ever seen.
I am wasting my time even writing this

This thing is a junk locks up 4 or 5 times or more a day and sometimes 4 or 5 times an hour have to unplug or reset to get it to work again. Only 6 or 8 months old, get some other brand this one sucks.

Pros: It was relatively cheap.
Cons: No removable antennas anymore, hardware is crap, no memory, slow processor, has a hard time handling more than a handful of computers online at once.
the WRT54G used to be the best router out there. The latest versions just plain suck though. They have cut back on the processor and memory so far that they have crippled the actual functionality of the router. If I could go back in time, I would have waited the week and ordered a Buffalo router online.

My only complain is the durability is the second that I bought in a period of 3 years. It work 13 months and that's it I need to buy other router.

The "Easy"Link software was a huge time waster. The computer was getting out on the internet but the program kept saying it couldn't connect to the internet. Hmm.. Finally after powering everything down and up, it connected. Next problem was that it said the router wasn't compatible. Ummm, you mean the router that came with the program??? Yeah. After powering down and up again and starting over, it finally got the network set up but then it couldn't connect wirelessly. Finally gave up on the program and went into web setup. Had it done in less than 5 minutes. That CD was a HUGE waste of time. If you are familiar with web setup, go that route at the first sign of a problem.

Pros: Great compatiblity with Linux

I have used this router for about two years. I had recently switched on mac address filtering. Afterwords, connections would last between minutes and hours. I just sat at on of my remote desktops and watched a very strong signal stay strong as the network went up and down and finally off. I'm guessing that it fragmented the mac address and finally shut the machine out. This has been a consistent problem on both remote machines. I'm about to reinstall WPA, after I establish that the network is stable w/o mac address filtering.
