Best known for her long tenure with the smash gothic musical Jekyll and Hyde, diva Linda Eder was born February 3, 1961 in Tucson, AZ but raised primarily in Minnesota. After graduating high school, in 1980 she teamed with pianist Paul Todd as the duo Linda Paul, touring clubs for the next seven years; from there Eder went on to television's Star Search, winning Best Female Vocalist honors a dozen weeks running. Also in 1987, she began working with composer Frank Wildhorn, who was then developing a musical adaptation of the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story; the production premiered in Houston three years later, and despite unfavorable reviews Jekyll and Hyde enjoyed great commercial success, finally reaching Broadway in 1997. The show also launched Eder to stardom, and in 1990 she recorded her self-titled debut LP; And So Much More followed in 1994, and three years later she signed to Atlantic for It's Time. It's No Secret Anymore appeared in 1999 and the seasonal effort Christmas Stays the Same was issued in fall 2000.
