I love Madonna's "Like A Virgin" album. My favorite songs are "Material Girl" and of course,
"Like A Virgin". This is definitely Madonna's best video, from the best period of her career (don't mind me, but I believe Madonna's "Like A Virgin"/
"Material Girl" look was her best look, and the music during the "Virgin" period is her best). Madonna rules!

Mizz Madonna had hit her stride with this masterpiece.
"Like A Virgin" is one of the best albums she has ever made. Produced by Nile Rodgers, he showcased her as a silly bride in grunge. Absolutely brilliant. "Dress You Up" is the best song out of that entire album. She did justice to Rose Royce's "Love Don't Live Here Anymore".
"Material Girl" will always be her name. "Shoo Be Doo" is a laid back track with subtle strings and a soft guitar riff. If you like grunge looks with a superb production, then get this one! I'm glad I did!

i love most of madonna's albums..but this one (her debut) really doesn't interest me, except for maybe the highlights on it "like a virgin", "material girl" and "dress u up"..

but the reality of this album was to show madonna's sexuality, nothing more nothing less

it wasn't until "true blue" that her talents began to show a bit, and then KA-BOOOM, she made 'like a prayer" which tore the whole world apart

"Like a virgin" is my least favorite madonna album

Queen Madonna comes out with another jewel of her production! This is album dedicated to all the virgins of the world... Too bad not for me anymore. But "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" is one of her greatest singles !!! I couldn't think of this album if there wasn't such a song!

Bravo! Lady Madonna (and Nile Rodgers)

This is the album that propelled Lady Madonna to stardom and lending and eardrum to it, it's easy to see why. It has no bad tracks! Much of the wonderful way this album sounds is due the genius of producer Nile Rodgers. With mostly synthezier backing somehow it doesn't just sound like machinery backing her up, unlike her Ray of Light album. He knew how to pull out the best of Madonna with his slick engineering, mezmering acoustic effects, tight rhythms and Madonna's key of G high soprano vocal energy exploding in the studio there's no way this album couldn't have been a blockbuster.
There are tracks on this album that never became big mainstream hits that should of, i.e. STAY and OVER AND OVER

My Least Favorite Madonna Album...

Yes, I still give it three stars, despite the fact it is my least favorite album by Ms. Ciccone. I could do without her having ever recorded "Material Girl" and "Like A Virgin" (sadly, two of her biggest hits), and I think she could as well. However, this album does offer the redeeming pop song "Shoo Bee Doo" and the good tune of "Dress You Up." I also like "Over and Over" in the tradition of an upbeat, happy, motivational Madonna dance song.

This cd was very very good,it brings back a lot to my child hood i will have to admit it.it's sophisticated production,vocals & swingy synthesizer sound.put this cd in it's place,recorded in may of 1983 and being one of the first truly digital recordings ever.it really made a shine in the music world.it was very good and is definately a must own!!!!!!!!!!

Reminds me of my childhood

I love this album because I've always been a huge fan of Madonna and this was one of the first albums I ever heard. Madonna is my hero in many ways because I've been through a lot and I always look back and think of Madonna and how strong she was in everything she did and it always motivated me to keep going and to be successful just as Madonna is. I think I probably own every album of hers and this one inspires me the most. I think Madonna is a great person for being herself and not caring about what others think of her.
