Following the footsteps of lush neopsych rock bands with falsetto vocals, Philadelphia/New Jersey area band Like a Fox is exLenola members Jay Laughlin (guitar, vocals), Dave Grubb (guitar, keyboard) and Jeff Scioli (guitar, keyboard) along with Brian Wilkinson (bass) and Pete Girgenti (drums). With the breakup of Lenola in 2002, Laughlin started drafting music that mixed rock and electronics. Before recording anything, a full band was in place by 2004 to perform the songs live.
