The best foreign movie I have seen ever. If you are Hispanic, esp. of Mexican ancestry, it will remind you of our folk tales. I love the movie when it makes you really move with it. I did. I love it. I like the idea of mixing the recipes, with love story, and of course, sad for the unforbidden love. I love the movie for it is very touching, romantic and yet very relaxing.

Magic realism at its finest

This film is deliciously pregnant with forbidden passions. I have always believed on some level that a part of yourself goes into the recipes you prepare and this movie takes that to another level. For all that this movie is a perfect example of mag...ic realism and Latin American art, I feel it is far too risque for the classroom (I'm a high school Spanish teacher). Read more Less
