    Pros: Great job, typical Buffett sound with a touch of country.

    Cons: NONE

    It looks like Buffett has made some good moves,he kept his island roots and trademark sound and added a touch of country. He's defenitly got top ten hits with Martina McBride,George Strait,and Clint Black and possibly some of the other duets. Bil...l Withers adds a touch of blues on a classy song as Toby,Kenny,and Alan Jackson round out some good country. Nanci Griffith gives a beautiful harmony sound of bluegrass. With all the loyal Parotheads and country fans out there this album will be on top for a long time. Read more Less

    Pros: Starting to get back the orginal style.

    Cons: A couple of songs just don't do it.

    It always takes two listens to make a good assesment of Jimmy's latest work. Some things he experiments with just don't seem to cut it the way his old mess-ups like Fool Button or songs along that line used to. But this album has gotten back ...a lot of the old magic. I'm not a huge country fan, but I believe the presence of the younger drunks adds a bit of remenisence for the old man. Although I was getting worried around the time of Don't Stop The Carnival, this new album brings back what I grew up loving about Buffett. The old Beach Bum Philosopher. Read more Less

    Pros: Classic Buffett with some country flair!

    Cons: NONE!!

    This CD was a much anticipated purchase and it did not let me down! The addition of some of country's top sellers is a bonus, but not something that makes the CD work. Those who say Jimmy Buffett has sold out for country fame have apparently no...t listened to ANY of his prior CD's. There is a hint of country laced into that island music of his and it's about time Nashville gave him the credit he so richly deserves!!! Read more Less

    If you really listen to the music, it is geniously wrote. The beats are great and the duets with the country singers are great. I still prefer the songs on this album that are his solo songs.

    Somebody should put a restraining order on Jimmy Buffett that prevents him from going anywhere near Nashville. If I wanted to listen to over-produced inane country drivel, I'd buy an album from one of his featured duet partners. A major disappoin...tment, I suspect, for the majority of Parrotheads out there.     Pros: Return to his roots

    Cons: Does not include 'It's 5 o'clock Somewhere'

    Jimmy does a great job returning to the style of music that made him what he is today. If you like his recent hit with Alan Jackson, then you will like this CD, which includes Jimmy singing with Clint Black, Kenney Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith,... George Strait, and Martina McBride. There is a definite country feel to the music, however I found the music and the lyrics much more 'Buffet-esque' than his previous releases like 'Beach House on the Moon' and 'Far Side of the World'. You can tell how much Jimmy enjoyed recording these songs, and working with the other artists! You are really missing something if you don't add this to your collection. Read more Less
