Pros: Fantastic action, suspense, cinematography, more..
Cons: .......
Timothy Dalton is in his best as 007!!!!
But this isnt the best bond movie out of the series, it just doesnt give me that edgy, bond feeling like i do with Sean Connery, Roger Moore, & Pierce Brosnan. Its still a decent movie to watch but its just doesnt make it to be a good bond movie.
License to Kill is a fantastic movie. Timothy Dalton really showed that James Bond has real feelings like a normal person. He is also more of a realistic person more than a perfect super spy. I think he was great in this movie. In this movie it also shows Bond's feelings for his friend Felix. I think this movie is usually underated but I love it.
I like this film a lot.But it will always be slated by critics because Bond becomes a dark and vengefull character who's fears and faults shine through. Not the smooth, faultless spy that is portrayed in the rest of the series. Also, although Dalton is a fine actor he takes the part of Bond far too seriously. And the role of Bond is not a great acting part.
Not the greatest Bond film ever but still
pretty good.
Don't be fooled into thinking of this as a spy movie. It's more like an action movie and a bad one at that. The movie is characterized by excessive violence that was popular in action movies in the 80's. I think Dalton would play a pretty good Bond if given the chance. Unfortunately in this movie he is not. Bond is frequently placed in positions totally out of character. And he doesn't dress like bond. In one scene he is wearing SWEAT PANTS. Forget it, that is so un-bond-like it's not even funny.
This an excellent movie. It has the best action squence of all the Bond films, the little brutal war fought in Mexico desert. Bond and his woman (Carey Lowell) fight Sanchez's (the villain) army. Amazing stunts, explosions, and special effects. If you don't buy it, you must see it. Dalton is a good Bond with determination and clever instincts. The movie has cool gadgets and guns, too.
Don't succumb to believing this is a fantastic movie. If you like Timothy Dalton as Bond, it's his best. If you like Bond, you'll know that Timothy Dalton is only second to George Lazenby as the worst Bond ever. See it once just to see it, but dont buy it. No action, no suspense, doesn't have the Bond suspense feeling you get in the Moore films. If you want Bond, go for Roger Moore. My Suggestions are The Spy Who Loved Me, A View To A Kill, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only and The Man With the Golden Gun.
This must be one of the greatest Bond movies ever, Although not a box office hit. It is one of the most serious with Dalton portraying Bond better than any one else ever did. See this film if you don't like Bonds it will change your mind!
This is a great Bond movie. JUST SEE IT!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!! IT IS ONE OF THE BEST BONDS EVER!!!!!
