Giles Reaves has developed into one of e-music's leading synthesists. From his days as a studio musician and sideman, his practiced ear and musical savvy have allowed him to become a major force in many musical arenas. In such a long and storied career, there are bound to be some misses. Letting Go, a collaboration with guitarist Jon Goin, is a miss. There are some good moments and some catchy hooks but there is no consistency. This CD should be widely available used or in cut-out bins.
