Since then, I have read the book twice, seen the play three times, and bought 3 of the 4 (English) CDs and faithfully listen to them every day. (Maybe I'm a little obsessed. :))This remains my favorite. Colm Wilkinson gives his best performance ever! Philip Quast is the very picture of Javert (if not for any other reason, buy this video to watch this man act!) Ruthie Henshell's voice is heart breaking and emotional. Alun Armstrong and Jenny Galloway are hilariously wicked. The rest of the cast, Michael Ball, Lea Salonga, Michael McGuire, and Judy Kuhn are a real treat to see perform - even though they are just singing through microphones. This video is a must-have for any Les Mis fan, or anyone who is curious about the play. ...
