Breathtaking!
Nine months have passed since I was introduced to Les Mis through this video. Since then, I have read the book twice, seen the play three times, and bought 3 of the 4 (English) CDs and faithfully listen to them every day. (Maybe I'm a little obsessed. :))This remains my favorite. Colm Wilkinson gives his best performance ever! Philip Quast is the very picture of Javert (if not for any other reason, buy this video to watch this man act!) Ruthie Henshell's voice is heart breaking and emotional. Alun Armstrong and Jenny Galloway are hilariously wicked. The rest of the cast, Michael Ball, Lea Salonga, Michael McGuire, and Judy Kuhn are a real treat to see perform - even though they are just singing through microphones. This video is a must-have for any Les Mis fan, or anyone who is curious about the play.

I had seen it in TV with all the conmericals, which really ruined it. Yours was the frist one I saw after the TV show, I really enjoy it. I wasn't able to to see the play, but I knew the story and have the CD which I played a lot. Thank you for putting it on the market.

This is an excellent video! Even though it is sung into mikes rather than acted, it is still magnificent. I only wish I could have seen it live... I have watched it over and over again, and therefore would recommend it to any Les Mis fan.

Being a theater patron for over 25 years seeing shows in New York and elsewhere, this was the best performance vocally, just wish I could have been there to see it live.

I received this video as a Christmas gift, and I have to say, it's wonderful! Les Miserables is one of my favorite musicals of all time, and seeing the songs performed by the all-star cast was wonderful. This is a must-see for all Les Mis fans.

A wonderful performance by the "Dream Cast". Everything is just so lovely even though the singers speak into microphones instead of acting it, but the singing was just too good. Lea Salonga, Colm Wilkinson, Michael Ball.....wow! What can I say?! Buy this video, I can guarantee you will not regret it!

Les Mis is my favorite musical of all time. A story of complex characters and their struggles. The music expresses all of their emotions. Performed by the best all time performers. Have to own!!
