Pros: the baby who bites
Cons: slow moving in parts, plot holes involving the parents club
Short and sweet on this one, it was better than I expected and I enjoyed it.
You'll love to hate count oolaf, and the baby is the funniest character I've seen in any movie in a long time. She makes the movie.
Pros: THE END IS A BIT SCRATCHY BUT THE SUBTITLES AND SPANISH TRACK CLEAR IT ALL UP!!
Cons: A TAD BIT BORING FOR "OLD ADULTS" BUT VERY ENTERTAING FOR AGES 12-45-
This is such a must have DVD! By the way, i nerly went out when i found out that this collector's edition came with THE FIRST LEMONY SNICKET BOOK!!!! YES, THE ORIGINAL HARD COVER UNFORTUNATE EVENTS BOOK!!!! The speacial features are vast and interesting. The movie is amazing and the sound is incredible!!!! This DVD's sound is amazing from the "WORNG PARKING SPOT" scene to the lacrimouse leches!! And the hurricane, and the snakes, they all sound incredible especially when heard with a Home theater. I'm very surprised that YAHOO didn't review this DVD. EX really, really enhances the viewing. The oscar nominated soundtrack is breathtaking and it's mostly heard from all sorrounds in the tense scenes.
OVERALL this is a must have for all likes!!!
Buy this collector's edition and be transported into Lemony Snicket's misterious and incredibly beliveable world!!!
Pros: That this movie is terrific!
Cons: That it was boring...
Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events - directed by Brad Speilberg - was definitely NOT what I had expected it to be!!
I thought it would be filled with magic, like Harry Potter. Because I love reading books, I was in the book aisle of BIG W. I was looking for something mysterious, to keep me thinking about for a long time. I eventually stumbled across A Series Of Unfortunate Events. I know it is wrong to judge a book by it's cover, but I was too busy to notice I was doing the wrong thing. I didn't read the blurb, either. The covers of this series of books are very interesting and give you a lot of ideas for anything. The cover I was holding was a side view of Klaus Baudelaire. He looked a lot like Harry Potter. Eventually, I started believing that this series of books were a remake of Harry Potter, making it more frightening that it already was.
Now I can see that I was entirely wrong.
Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events is one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time.
