    Worth watching just to see Anthony Hopkins trying to act as if he's just suffered a stroke, absolutlely hysterical. You'll laugh till you cry. This movie tries so hard to be some sort of sweeping epic, it certainly entertains but seems so contrived a...nd has some bloody awful moments such as the horrific scenes mentioned above that you'll be hard pressed not to feel like your watching a more expensive production of The Waltons. For those who wept, good on you, I cried when my dog died, and this is another dog that should have died too. Read more Less

    Definately a masterpiece, i thought the film was breathtaking, i cried through alot of it. The emotions ran deep in this film, if you like tear jerker films, this is a must. Actually i thought that this film should have garnered more Oscar nominatio...ns than it got back in 1995. Brad Pitt is outstanding, as well as the rest of the cast. Very, Very Moving Film.     Pros: A great love story

    Cons: Hated the ending!

    If you didn't love Brad Pitt before this movie, you were sure to fall in love with him after this movie. The only thing I would like to add about Brad is WOW what a hunk!

    Cons: maybe a little lengthy?

    A definite masterpiece. This is a very moving film. Very touching. Unfortunately, it is highly underrated. Should've gained more recognition and rewards.

    Maybe I don't get it. If your brother dies, you DON'T shack up with his wife. This sounds like an episode of Jerry Springer rather than a great movie. C'mon if my plain wife died and I shacked up with her hot sister, don't you think... people would talk or shouldn't I feel a bit guilty? Movie was great otherwise. Read more Less
