An early Southern California punk outfit following in the footsteps of bands like X, Legal Weapon was centered around singer Kat Arthur and guitarist Brian Hansen. Drummer Charlie Vartahian and bassist Patricia Morrison (ex-Bags) constituted the rhythm section on the band's 1981 debut EP, No Sorrow; Morrison then left to eventually join both the Gun Club and the Sisters of Mercy.
