    The sheer loneliness of this film certainly came across. Film noir isn't my favorite genre, I'll admit; recording two people drowning their sorrows in sex and drugs is not my idea of a good movie. I couldn't escape the feeling that this video is a v...isual aid for voyeurs. Read more Less

    This is quite simply one of the best films I have ever seen. The mixture of dark despair with the promise of salvation through love is remarkable. The storyline is brilliantly underpinned with a melancholy soundtrack almost exclusively performed by ...Sting. This film has the rare capability of taking you through a range of emotions, whilst leaving you with the final question of "what if........" Read more Less

    I love this film.. It survives repeated viewings, such is it's depth and all-round quality of the story (you have to read the novel by John O'Brian), the message, the direction, the script, Nicolas Cage, whoever it is that plays Al and, of course, t...he ever-lovely and fantastically gifted Elisabeth Shue.     My favorite movie.

    I suppose since there was not a review of Leaving Las Vegas I should write one. It is my favorite movie of my 23 years. It is great for a number of reasons: Nic Cage's performance (he won the oscar for a reason), Elisabeth Shue, the music, the setti...ng, and the look at a man ready to give in. Not an uplifting film by any means but you will appreciate the all-around quality of this picture. Read more Less
