    I love Switchfoot and this CD is their best.This CD has the best lyrics of all their cds.The music is also the best too.By it!

    Learning To Breathe is AWESOME!!

    Learning To Breathe is more polished than their last 2 albums, butit is a really great album!!! It's still full of Jon Foreman's thoughtful lyrics, and the surfer-rock music Switchfoot has come to be known for. They had more time in the studio to wor...k on this project, and it shows. (Switchfoot even produced one track themselves!) The Loser is the “underdog” song. You've got to be a loser to the world to be a winner in God's eyes. The song states “only the loser wins / they've got nothing to prove / they'll leave the world with nothing to lose.” Poparazzi is a tongue-in-cheek look at the pop culture around us, and how it will always be there no matter how much we try to ignore it. Probably my favorite song on the album is The Economy Of Mercy. A ballad - it's a song about the abundance of God's grace. It's also about finding yourself in Jesus, almost a song of worship, and a definite cry from the heart. Other highlights on the album include I Dare You To Move, Love Is The Movement, and the title track, Learning To Breathe. I found that the change from the past 2 Switchfoot albums, and this one is only the next step in the progression of their music. I think that they will continue to mature and change with each album. It is because of this that Learning To Breathe is such a diverse and incredible album! (I highly recommend it!!) Read more Less

    this is Switchfoots most God directed CD
    it's words are so beautiful
    I know God enjoys Switchfoots worship
    this and the bible are part of the foundation of my life
    this Cd is always teaching me something new
    it is one of my most treasured possesions

    I LOVE this cd. This is a wonderful modern quirky pop/rock cd. The band creates dreamy pop hooks amidst incredible lyrics and Jon Foreman's incredible voice. My favorite song right now is "The Loser" a wonderful song about gain in the midst of loss.... This is a WONDERFUL cd that I can't praise enough. These guys deserve more airplay. Read more Less
