Spanish pop musicians Jone Gabarain and Ibon Errazkin formed Le Mans in the early '90s, but were only introduced to American audiences via the efforts of Grimsey Records in 2001. Their recorded albums up to that point were released on CD in a similar manner to the Buena Vista Social Club releases. The jangly Spanish pop of their earlier albums and the sultry and sparse sound of their later albums were compressed into two releases.
