Lawndale
Lawndale was a surf-guitar quartet from the Southern California town of the same name led by Jack Skelley, Steve Housden and Rick Lawndale, and also featuring drummer Dave Childs. The group was signed by SST in 1986, as that label looked to broaden its horizons beyond the punk and hardcore it had become known for. Lawndale released two eclectic albums on SST, 1986's Beyond Barbecue and 1987's Sasquatch Rock.
